Zylia recording
Zylia is a multichannel microphone array that makes live recording effortless, allowing musicians to concentrate on making music.
I use a Mac M1 Air with this system, so it’s extremely portable and noiseless. Nothing could be simpler. I set the array in the middle of a circle of musicians, hit record, and they start playing. Vocals sound great, instrumentation can be anything, and the location can be anywhere: in your rehearsal space, your back yard or porch, on top of a mountain, under a bridge, in a warehouse, church, studio, garage… The resulting tracks can be a stereo mix made on the spot and/ or discrete multitrack files that are 3D audio/ Navigable VR/ Dolby Atmos compatible. The session would pair well with video.
Fees: $100 for the first hour of recording, $65 per subsequent hour. Includes file transfer if you provide a fast drive (minimum USB 3.0 with 150 MB/ sec write speed) or I can upload to a cloud folder for $20. Travel charges may apply outside of the immediate Asheville area. I also offer editing, mixing and mastering services.
